How many radions or Hydra leds would I need for a 120 gallon tank that's 5 feet long and 26 inches deep, mixed reef LPS some SPS

At least 3 of each with the pucks facing front to back. XR30 or Hydra52 not the smaller ones.

Thanks, do you know where I could get the best price on them?
They don't do sales. Your best bet is going to a local fish store that carries them and see if they can give you a discount for purchasing multiple units. Ecotech likes the map enforcement so no online seller is going to play ball unless you talk to them on the phone.

(60*18*26)/231 = 121.5 gallons.

I think that makes your tank 18" wide. That definitely means more, smaller lights.

If you try to get spread from larger fixtures you'll be blasting the room with reef light. (Which is wasting it!)

26" is fairly deep though, so you do need something with punch.

I think Hydra26's would be my preferred option.

In terms of number....

More, smaller fixtures is almost always better because you can create better light coverage. But it usually comes to a point where there are practical issues with hanging a lot of lights, so there is a such thing as "too many". Sometimes the smaller units cost more per unit of light output too.

But if you think you can make five units work given your space and budget, then do five of each. :)

Depending on a lot of factors, as few as three units may work, so you could also start there and if it seems like they're being stretched too thin, then add a fourth or fifth later, as you see fit.

If you use some kind of light meter, you'll have a much easier time in setup and better chances of success growing corals.

Most of the guesswork above would be dispensed of within seconds of using a meter to assess your situation.

That means at least a lux meter or a PAR meter. Don't go without. :)
