I have three builds, but really only maintain one of them. :P

I've let the grass grow long in the 65g "backlot", and leave the kids to enjoy the growth. My round, prickly lawnmower is either broken or taunting me at this point.

I have 3 now.

One is a fairly mature system that just needs water changes and occasional feedings.

Another is waiting for the uglies to run their course.

The third is to keeping me busy and make sure my hands don’t have time to start fiddling with the others. So far it is working.

One connected system with multiple tanks .... so depending on definitions, either one or four!

You did specify "Reef" tanks, so just one. If you had said tanks in general, it'd be two.

This is a trick question. I have 5 saltwater tanks. 4 completely separate tanks upstairs and 1 tank downstairs. The 1 downstairs is now an experiment on how many years a tank can survive completely neglected other than topping off water.

2 of the 4 upstairs are very automated. The other 2 get minimum maintenance. Having separate tanks is very expensive and time consuming with all the little things added up. I’m always thinking about selling off 1 or 2. Maintaining 2 tanks seems to be the sweet spot for me.

I have 2. A 75 gallon African cichlid tank and a 32 gallon saltwater biocube

I have 2 tanks on one sump. I maintain a little less than 1/3.

Suppose someone had a QT tank that kept a fish in it for over a year, and then it became a holding tank for frags for a few months now. Does that count as a reef tank? Asking for a friend?

If yes 4, otherwise 3.

The 5 gallon with rock and crabs doesn’t count, right?

Or the 40 Breeder holding rock?

And definitely not those half dozen empty tanks in the basement.

3, ... I mean 4.

5 reef tanks currently. 2 of them are on auto pilot. The other 3 are my favorites that require a lot of effort but the results are starting to take shape. I maintain these tanks for others for money as a hobby.
