My tank was setup on 10/16/17. And I have a load of bubble aglae and gha. I gave up on the tank for 2-3 months because I been having the algae problem. But I started trying to bring in back now. I do 5 gallon water change every week.
Your main priority should be export. That will need to be hand cleaning the rocks just ripping up what you can in 15 minutes.
Or at least that was my attention span when I had to do it.

Either GFO or aluminum beads like Phos X in a bag in your sump or in your hang on back filter.
Plan on about a cupful and plan on replacing it every week. For probably maybe 4 or 5 weeks to get everything back where it should be.
Overkill on the snails will just starve them in two weeks and they will die and add more GHA to your tank.
It takes a few weeks but you should be successful.
After that you can show me how to get rid of my bubble algae.
