How many tanks have you kept at one time? My record was 4 I think. I had a 180g mixed reef, a 120 predator tank, a 14g nano, and a frag tank. All separate systems. What about you?

If QT tanks count, then 4. 1 120 gal tank and 3 QT tanks.

After seeing some of the post I had to edit my post.

Man I fell like SUCH A LIGHT WEIGHT, LOL!!!

Well if you count back in the fresh water days I would say maybe 15 or so when I was breeding fish in the 70's
Salt water not so many. I learned, 1 big one is better than 15 small ones

I had my 75 main system, a 3 gallon petco AIO, a 1.5 gallon beta tank (salty with pods) and a 1 gal cookie jar with pods. The three little ones all failed miserably so I took them down, I didn't care enough to pay attention to them as I should have but they were a nice pod breeding ground, when I have the space I might do that again. Now I have my 75 and a 40 that I'll be moving everything into.
I also have a 10 gallon planted kitchen counter tank during this.

Commercially? Over 100.

Personally? 37 and a shark pool in the 90s.

About to have around 100 again and a shark pool as well. :)

Oh and I always keep a pond as well. Right now it's only 1000 gallons.

I am currently at 10 saltwater and 1 brackish.
3x 150s, 1x 90, 1x 45, 3 biocubes of different sizes, one 75 and a 20 long diy AIO. The brackish has guppies and mollies for the aggressive tank. It is only a 10g.

If all goes as planned this winter, the 3x 150s and the 90/45 combo will go into the 500 sitting in the garage.

3 I have 75 softie tank 55 fowlr 55 fresh water planted

Mine is 4 and currently have 3.
I sold #4 only because it was the smallest tank of the 4 and I needed space for an office copy machine I had purchased.

I have had as many as 32 when I was breeding killifishes, discus and clowns. Of those 5 were saltwater. Currently 4 65 gal (freshwater), 1 29 gal freshwater, 2 3 gal freshwater, 1 Red Sea 425 liter saltwater, 1 Red Sea 170 liter saltwater, IM Nuovo 10 saltwater (and a 10 gal saltwater tank to grow shrimp for the frogfish and leaf fish.

Reef? One. Other? Well let me count.

I had a land hermit crab tank, two 29 gallon macrostoma tank, one 20 gallon pi tank, one 20 gallon mahachaiensis tank, one 55 gallon mixed tropical community, and one 55 gallon Renata and pugnax tank, 40 Gallon unimaculata, Picta and macrostoma tank,20 gallon patoti, mean buggers! a 15 gallon albimarginata tank, ten gallon channoides tank, A three gallon rutilians tank and about 40 jars of fancy marble/steel/platinum fancy bettas. (Btw, all those minus the community were bettas, and the community had them too.. ocellatas.

Now? I have three tanks now. One with a single platinum half moon, my 29 with the pallifinas, and the small temporary reef.

Yes I’m obsessed with bettas.

They are gonna go to the garage and be a macro farm that is tied into the 500. Our new house has HVAC in the garage. You can have dibs on macro lol.
Just be sure to bring some down with you!

when i had fresh water only 17. a 240, two 180, nine 75, a 125, a 40, two 55, & a 30. now that i came to the salt side i have 5 a 240 reef, a 40 salt qt, a 180 fresh predator tank, a 30 for feeders & a 75 fresh community tank. i have just about convinced myself to tie the 180 into the 240 system & go salt on that one & shut down the 30 i wont need anymore.

I have :
112 gallon reef
90 gallon reef
10 gallon nano reef
50 gallon frag tank

Currently two 10g qt tanks going but those fish should make their way into the tanks at some point this month. While there are tons of fish and coral I still want at this time I don't really have a desire to have more systems. Maybe in the future. I don't think I'd ever let it get past 5 or 6 though. Sometimes I feel like I neglect the 90g too much but I have plans to do a bunch of work on it soon. If I did get more I'd start plumbing a few together. Having them separate is a lot more work but allows for much more flexibility and only a seriously long power failure of weeks would wipe me out.

Hey Dan,
I currently have ;
55 Gallon Display LPS and SPS
90 Gallon FOWLR
55 Gallon Frag Tank
40 Gallon Breeder for Turf Scrubber
And my sons 8 Gallon BioCube

Plus my Sump is 100 gallons...

Entire system accept kids tank all tied together....

One, 90 gallons & over a decade since I set it up.

It never wanted to stop running, so I didn't either.
