I have 2 tanks, a 30 gallon with a sump and a 55 without. So far this is what consumes power...

LED lights - 6 plugs
Skimmers - 2 plugs
Hydor pumps - 4 plugs
Return pump - 1 plug
Auto top offs - 2 plugs
Filters - 2 plugs
Heaters - 2 plugs
Fuge light - 1 plug

All in all I have 20 things plugged in and I still want to get 2 dosing units...lol

That's a scary thought.
Is it bad if there are more plugs than you can count

Seriousness this got me wanting to know.
If I count all tanks currently running I get like 44.

As long as wiring is sized for amp draw which will be fused protected nothing can go wrong beside it look horrible. Of course open wiring or loose wiring is a different story. I find with under stand sump designs the electronics go below as well. This area with salt creep and high humidity leads to electronic failure. I would place all electronics in a different cabinet or a separate location for longevity/safety. 14 GA wire can handle 15 amps without a problem by UL standards.

43 spread across 3 display tanks, a frag tank, a quarantine tank, and a water mixing station.

4 separate channels of LED, 1 Channel of CFL 16w fuge light, 8 power heads, one air pump, one aqualifter, one protein skimmer, 2 return pumps, a fan, a space heater, a Seneye Reef Monitor, a mixing pump in water tote, 4 Heaters, and my Reef Keeper is what all these are plugged into between 2 separate systems. I have a wall of PC4s lol. The Reef Keeper is plugged into a surge protector and then into the GFCI outlet. The surge protector has 2 powerheads that never turn off as well. Im not sure if temp/pH probes or float switches count but I have 3 of each

On a 90 gallon/55 sump and a 2x3 foot frag tank w/ a 60 gallon sump.
