ARGGG!!!

I haven't gotten my skimmate container set up yet and in the past week I have accidentally dumped a cup of skimmate back in my sump! Don't ask how!

How many times have you DUMPED it?

A full cup - never! But I spill a little into it at times.....

Never dumped it, but I do pour a little out for the fish that have passed.

Never unless not emptying it at all and it overflows then my answer is probably now

If the cup is to full, yes a little get spilled. The cup is a pain until one gets the hank of removing the cup.

Not saying I am immune to this, but all my years this is something I haven't done yet.
Like others I have it go crazy and spill itself back in, that has happened countless times.

I have once- sort of... I was draining it into a container, so I don't have to remove the cup, and the container slipped out of my hand. It was all recollected overnight. Didn't hurt anything.

It's no big deal. Cleaning a skimmer cup is a good way to keep in touch with the the out out of the waste in your tank. [emoji3]

Ed, I think that it's also good to stay in touch of what your skimmer is pulling out.

Yeah I just dumped mine back into the sump yesterday. I don't have a container set up either. I tried to pull the cap off of my outflow valve and quickly put a hose on it but the hose didn't fit and most of it drained back into the sump.

Done it at least once! Also, with the cheap skimmer I have the slightest adjustment can/have made it overflow overnight...so I ended up with nice clear water in the cup, does that count? That happened a couple of times.
