Just curious how many of us use Chinese or other LED lights and what your overall feelings are on these versus T5, actinics and compact florescents.

Hello I use 2 kessil A150W in a 38 gal tank. The best advantage of using leds is energy eficient and heat. I see goos grow on my corals too.

I'm using a radion gen2 over a 40b and having great growth and color. And I have 2 Apollo reef solar blast over a 4' 120 and had great growth ad color with them as well.

Have 2 maxspect razor 10k 120w over my 90. Just awesome lights, very sleek design and easy programming. My corals and fish thank me everyday since they been under them!

I just sold my Radion G2 to go to the ATI T5/LED hybrid. LEDs are great for softies, lps, and some SPS. But I'm going with some high end sticks that just don't seem to want to color up under the radions, but showed more color instantly under Halides.

I've had great success with my china 120w LED's, growing lps sps and zoas. The particular fixture I have has two spectrums of blues, a couple reds, and a couple UV in addition to cool white. My other tanks have 6x54W T5 and the other has a 250w DE phoenix. All have good color, I would say water quality is more important than actual lighting type. My least favorite is T5 not because of lack of color, but for the actual look at dimness that the tank has. hth!

i ran a chinese 120w blue/white for months, got the maxspect 160w 16k and my polyps got fatter. I have LPS/ softies

USED KESSIL 350 W ( EEEHHH ) - ACAN 600 SERIES (EEEHHHH ) - BUT I'M LOVING THE AI SOL BLUES....

I run 2 (48") Ecoxotic panorama Marine LED and one all Actinic LED strips...the softies are doing great under them.

ecotech radion pro's. these units have thus far impressed me. my tank is 98% sps and the color and growth is there. time will tell how good these lights are. i am giving them an honest shot before i have my final thoughts on them or led. this is my first time going all led over a tank.

Only thing I don't like about the solar blast is that I had to get a alex to program them. But now Apollo has put out thre own controller that is a lot cheaper and easier to use IMO.

I've been running radion gen1 for over a year. Three over a 180g. They will be supplementing the supplement lights. Going back to mh and vho's. Jumping off the bandwagon, well kinda.

I use a custom made light by myself.......I use a mix of rb, cw, ww, nw, cyan, true violet and hyper violet, also a few deep red. I use only phillips rebels.

Reefbreeders Photon 48 over my 48 inche wide tank - only $499 with 2 year warranty, includes controller and full spectrum LEDs. All my coral from SPS to LPS is fine.
