Yes it isIs this a new thread?
Yeah dosing to much iron you have problems trust me been there I just don't think macroalgae ducks up everything fast like corals and by my studies you clean it to much and stuff diesHmm. Honestly don't know. I did have a friend who did it. He did actually have fish though only a few mostlyfor bug populations I believe.
What he wound up doing was actually adding No and Po. Kind of opposite our ratioanale for doing water changes. Makes sense actually.
The other trace elements would be a concern to me ESP iron in greener plants.
Sometimes I use the other water from my fish tank which might provide some nutrientsNo water changes. maybe a little carbon every few months the remove the yellow. You need to add fertilizer.
Yeah I don't want it to dirty then cyano which I have in one tank already my refugium is out of control I'm selling some if your interestedThat sound like a good plan. Maybe dump a little skimmer juice? or some compost tea...
I have a lot of flow you probably need thatHmm weird. I stripped the nutrients right out of my tanks with the fuge and macros. Been feeding like crazy and finally got cyano again after six months.

Oh no. I got flow.I have a lot of flow you probably need that
Whatever you do don't dose to much iron disaster when I put to muchOh no. I got flow.
I actually anticipated the cyano. It was a calculated move. Push the nutrients Esp no and dissolved organics till the zoas colored up. At the same time light vitamin c. Now that my no an Po are detectable again I'm leaning back on the feeding starting last week.
I want it to peak in the next couple weeks and balance it there at those levels.
I stripped the tank too hard with chato and a bit of a couple calurpa and some others.
I have a tunze 9002 in 75 gal.
Yea kinda funny I help folks with cyano removal everyday and made sure I gave my tank some. .
It's just a phase of a tanks life IMO
Not one of the elements I'd like to dose.Whatever you do don't dose to much iron disaster when I put to much
I'm not adding it like that anymore I damaged some thanks and still have problems as long as you use reef crystals or red sea your fine I do about a 5 gallon change on a 60 gallon bi weekly and it's doing greatI think that iron can be a limiting factor, and if you add it you can get an explosion of algae if the nutrients and lighting are there. The first time I added it I got an bacteria bloom. I found that interesting. My red macro sure likes it.
