I'm starting to plan a bigger tank.. about a yr down the road..

I was thinking of doing a mostly cardinal-fish tank like Leonardo's on RC before he took it down, but now I am thinking about doing a mostly wrasse tank? The tank would be a 36*36*36 exterior dimensions

so like 170-200g tank. Its going to have alot of sps lps and zoas of course
pretty high flow.. 2 vortechs and a tunze...maybe more

I want a very good amt of fish in the tank..2 goby's 2 clownfishes
and then pairs of wrasses probably

3-4 flame wrasses
2 blue flasher wrasses
2 yellow corris wrasses

I would have to build one of those nets for the top.. but im not too worried about that this early in the game

I'm not sure that your setup would give the wrasses optimal range as far as personal space. You might be alright, but.... (hey, I'm not an expert:))

:facepalm

they've got it listed wrong. there is no such thing as a yellow coris wrasse. that is a halichoeres chrysus.

Halichoeres

Halichoeres chrysus Randall 1981 (1), is a fish of two "good" and one bad common name. It should be called the Golden or Canary Wrasse for its bright bold sun-yellow color, but is most often listed as the Yellow Coris Wrasse (Arggghhh!, it is not a Coris genus member of course). This is an exemplary aquarium species that is suitable for peaceful fish-only and reef systems. To a mere 4 inches or so total length. Aquarium juv. (and adult below) & S. Sulawesi photos. Eastern Indian Ocean distribution. Halichoeres chrysus, Canary wrasse : aquarium

You will have no problem keeping those fish together. I've got a pretty good collection of wrasses in a much smaller tank and have no aggression issues. Fairy wrasses are pretty passive unless you have two that look very similar.

In a 120 I have;
mystery
purple velvet
yellow wrasse (haliocheres chrysus)
laboutei
leopard (macropharyngdon meleagris)
cleaner
pink margin
solarensis
whipfin
and I had a flame that I recently lost to a bacterial infection

do you have pairs of all of those or just one?

and had no idea about the wrong name thing.. thanks for the correctoin

They're all individuals. That many pairs would certainly be an overload!! The purple velvet, yellow and pink margin are terminal males.

okay i definitely need to read up on them.. i have no idea what a terminal male is lol..

I was thinking i go do around like 15 fish? mostly wrasses and get a sweet skimmer to help out with the bioload

2 canary/golden
2 mystery
2 purple velvet
2 laboutei
2 leopard
2 solarensis
2 flame

2 true percs b/w
couple gobies
1 pbt

how do you guys like that list?
