How much are T. Noae aka "teardrop"?

Can't find much on pricing on T. Noae aka "teardrop" clams. I found a black and white teardrop at a LFS and they're asking $200 for 3 1/2" - 4" clam. It looks nice, but it's not AAA nice. Just curious to see what people are selling them for.

I don't see those often, IMO 200 is not a bad price

They are infrequent enough it's hard to put a consistent price on them. Sounds like a decent price to me based off what I have seem for the past year or two though.

that sounds about right IMO ... i purchased a noae from aqualocker (when they were still fishy business aquatics), and the cost was ~$230 for a 4” specimen.

So I bought the clam, but no pics yet. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon? The great thing about this hobby is the fact that you can trade, sell and swap corals/inverts for more corals/inverts. I was able to sell some stuff and trade a few things for store credit, so my final cost was pretty low considering the price tag. $60 out of pocket isn't too bad for a $200 clam.
Now if I wasn't going away for a week, I would feel a little better.

That is an excellent price. 4.5-5" ones the last time that I saw them around here were about $500. They are just so hard to get anymore.

Looks like a very nice Noae, but it’s hard to tell from the pic. Regardless, it’s a nice clam! Mine is more black and white, but I see different colors up close, so hopefully it’ll color up even more. I’ll try to get a pic soon, just busy with work before the holiday.
