I am currently doing a 1 litre waterchange on my 25 gallon daily.... I was wondering if I could increase the amount I do daily without messing with my tank?

Is there a reason for the need to increase?

Are you seeing issues that a higher waterchange can help solve? Or is this a proactive approach?
I just want to know if doing more will help my tank in the long run, or if I am doing the right amount really. Its easier for me to do smaller daily wc then weekly, so I cant really follow the 10% weekly rule

That's something you have to figure out based on differing factors of your tank.

Traditionally, waterchanges are a means for nutrient transport and to supplement major and trace elements. You're also helping dilute pathogens and promote a healthy balance.

If your tank is doing fine with the current regimen, then why increase it, simply to increase it?

But if you can justify more is better, then you're off to making wise choices.

That's primarily my questioning why you want to increase it?

10% weekly is a good rule of thumb, and you may adjust from there accordingly. But I wouldn't recommend throwing away more salt just because...

What is the harm in doing substantial water changes?

Seems to me that all of the elements and chemicals that build up in a tank, would have a harder time building up with frequent and substantial water changes

Monterey Bay Aquarium has several aquariums where they do 100% water changes every night. The Kelp Forest tank being one of them

I am unable to imagine any harm, as long as the mixed new saltwater has no error in it

One is replenishing all of the chemicals in the salt mix this way as well, forestalling the need to add dosing systems

There is a retinue of reefers here, who discourage substantial water changes. What's the rationale for that? With all the expenses involved with reefing a couple bucks worth of salt is nothing. It can't be cost of salt, can it?

How long have you had your tank up?
I would make it easier on yourself and go for more substantial every weekend or so. Do a 5 gallon change on the weekends and you should be set.
