I know this is subjective to 8 million other things but I thought I would ask. I consider myself an over feeder but my tank I think is low on nutrients nitrate are 0 not much algae except on the glass. I dont mind a high nutrient tank with lots of life and battle a little algae rather than the other way.

I have a 75 with a 20 gallon sump with S200 skimmer. I feed about a pinch of pellets each night just enough to get a few in the tank and about 1 cube of frozen and I mix that up. so I thaw and put in with a turkey baster 1 full frozen cube. Once a day I only feed at night around 7 pm

Live stock
about 6 assorted frags
2 clown fish
3 pajama cardinals
YW Goby
tail spot blenny
2 fairy wrass
3 shrimp
assorted hermits and snails
1 conch
1 emerald crab

I buy a 2lb pack of spiralina brine and 2 - 1 lb packs of LRS. Break off several pieces of each and leave them in a cup in my fridge and then feed two teaspoons full of fish food a day.

I have a 40 gal DT And a 24 gallon sump/refugium. HEAVY bio load Feed a cube a day along with phytoplankton and two part reef energy. sometimes I feed two cubes a day my phosphate is currently between .1 and 05 and my nitrates are Close to 5 ppm. Current stock consist of three snails four hermit crabs an emerald grab Three bangai cardinals A blue eyed cardinal two blue green chromis two tomato clowns Lawnmower blenny And a jaw fish. Check out my build thread if you like. How old is your tank? Do you have a build thread ?

I never did a build thread. I had a 65 Gal FOWLR about 15 years ago for 5 years took a long break and came back into the hobby with a 12 gal nano tank I told my wife it will hold me over for 3 years easy. Within 4 months I had a red sea reefer 350 on order.

See how long this one lasts. :)

I have a 40 mixed Reef that’s heavily stocked with coral and 5 small fish, I feed approximately 2 cubes of frozen daily or equivalent.

Two cubes a day for 5 fish? Dang! Haha. Do they eat all of that?

I feed enough of Rods food that my 6 fish swim away bloated. I like obese fish and not having to dose nitrates and phosphate.

That’s total food into tank, I feed my LPS and NPS from that same portion.. not always just frozen I also use fresh fish eggs, Reef Roids, flakes and other dried foods, but typically equivalent to a couple cubes. I also feed about 6 times a day so it’s not all dumped in at once.

I just dump mine in all at once. My fish look drunk when it’s all said and done. :)

I really need to start spreading this out some.

Mine is similar to his, and I feed a pinch of Seaweed Extreme pellets and half cube of Marine Cuisine in the morning and another half in the evening, ever 3 or 4 day will do a full cube in the morning and evening and a couple times during the week a will throw in a frozen mussel for the crabs and fish to nibble on.
