I have a 30 gallon Waterbox, and have questions about my flow. I ordered a Vortech mp10 powerhead. Do I need more than one?

My corals: green star polyp colony, Easter egg chalice large frag, button polyp frag, pocillopora frag, acropora frag, daisy polyp frag, and a gorgonian.

Fish: one Sumatran Gold bar clown and a watchman goby.

Welcome to Reef to Reef! If you get a chance, you should introduce yourself on the meet and greet forum!

One mp10 in theory should be more than enough for the corals you have. As long as everyone looks happy and is growing, you're all set!

There's always a chance you might run into areas of low flow depending on your rockwork- you can either know these are lower flow areas in the tank or add a second powerhead to keep the detritus from piling up there or expand the ideal areas for coral- this is hard to predict and is on a case by case basis. If you want, it might be best to post a stable video of your tank during daylight- that seems to me to be the easiest way to determine whether the flow looks good.

Since the original post I've added a hammer with two heads, and some mushrooms
