I’m starting a 40 breeder and I want to keep soft corals and lps. I’m planning on getting 2 jebao OW-10. Is that too much, too little? Should I get 2 small pumps or 1 large one? Any suggestions for around the same price range?

2 small ones will give you more control and options on placement than one large one. A general guide for LPS/softie tanks is 20x-50x total tank volume in circulation, including power heads and return.

Just want to add, I believe the smaller 'Nero 3' released today, one or two of those might be a nice fit in your tank. Small footprint / decent to look at.

So technically one is enough but I should get 2 so I can get better flow throughout the tank?

Yea you also don’t want to run into a situation where one stops working and you have to wait on another one. I like the jebao pumps but they do break down a lot more often than the name brand ones.

Ok thanks for the help
