How much flow is too much/best nano reef powerhead?

I'm re-starting up my 10g nano reef (had to shut it down last year). Last time i was on an extreme budget and cut corners, this time I'm trying to do it right. Last time i had the hydor koralia 425 and a 100 ghp hob. Too many deadspots and too much direct flow in certains spots. This time I'm thinking about adding a hydor nano 240 in to minimize dead spots, randomize flow and what not. Is the 425, a 240, and a 100ghp hob too much for softies and lps?

Also, does anybody know any good cheapo powerheads? For some reason smaller powerheads cost just as much/more than larger ones? Also, can a cheap mj pump knockoff be good if used with the 425 or would it be too direct?

Honestly the 425 is a little overkill for a 10g if you are going to be running softies and LPS. I would just run the 240 or maybe 2 opposing each other since your hob return is pretty weak. Have any pics of your tank and how your rocks are set up? That will give us a good idea on where to recommend placement.

i havent set it back up yet. also i would really like to incorporate the 425 if possible since i already own it.
I plan on putting then both in the back angled towards the front glass.

Jebao OW-10 series is rated between 132-1056. This way you can control the amount of flow, have great surface tension, and a pulsing agitation on your substrate and live rock. Which is great for torches, hammers, and frogspawns to give it that nice bounce. They run for $52. I have the SW-4.

Thanks. I looked into those. There's so many different ones, the ow, rw, pp, what's the difference? they all have similar prices and seemingly functionality.

It is the year they came out series. That's all. Improvements to existing series. Like Jebao wasn't always called Jebao. It was originally Jecod.
In order it goes WR, PP, SW, OW. OW is the newest.
