Is this the right amount to feed my tank? Each compartment is one day’s food. It’s a mix of frozen mysis, spirulina brine, and “ocean plankton”.

It’s a 33g with:
4 sapphire damselfish
1 Bangaii cardinalfish
1 royal gramma
1 neon goby
1 watchman goby
2 court jester gobies (they don’t eat anything I feed, they just forage)

All fish are pretty small, about an inch long!

IS this a FOWLR or a reef?
That's looks like a lot of food for a reef. What do you have for algae control?

No idea -- the "how much to feed" question comes up all the time with answers all over the board.

That looks roughly similar (maybe a bit more) to what I feed daily in 40 gallon soft coral tank with just 4 fish, for what it's worth.

The response to the question should be; “ How quickly do you want your fish to grow, and how often do you want to do water changes to keep nutrients in check?”

True -- good answer.
I feel like I feed a lot for the bio-load I have, yet still struggle to keep (testable) nutrients up.

When you feed the fish is there food left floating around or they eat all?

There’s some food left floating around, but not much. If I feed less, I’m worried the yellow watchman goby might not get enough.

While feeding this amount, my phosphate and nitrate is bottoming out (I have to dose neo nitro and reef roids to keep them above 0) but there is also plenty of cyano growing in my tank.

Not sure if the cyano is from overfeeding or from the AB+ I’m dosing though…

Use a turkey baster to get food to the bottom
I’ve been using an+ and no cyano but you want to get some steady reading of po4 and no3
Maybe a 2 head doser ?
