Well my peppermint shrimp and filefish just ain't getting rid the the aiptasia. At this point I'm ready to pull out a pillar of rocks that has the worst, as then I can zap the other few. I've got about 120lbs of lr and maybe 1.5 inches of sand. If I were to pull the 1 pillar, roughly 25 lbs of rock and stir the sand surrounding while removing base rock. Is there any concerns I should have? Game plan would be to get rid of the aiptasia on the rock then place back in.

Disturbing the sand, depending on how long its been in there could cause you a No3 spike. Lift straight up and slow.
just move slow.. the sand bed isnt that thick so depending on age and water volume as well if your careful you should be fine
The sand went in beginning of June. Thanks for the replies. Would I be best letting whatever I pull air dry to kill the aiptasia or would they come back? Haven't decided on air drying or going crazy with super glue once rocks removed. Suggestions?

Why remove the rock? I use Aptasia-X and it works great. Good luck.
Well the peppermint shrimp seem to keep clean where my eel hangs, and my filefish hasn't made a dent if anything. Sometimes I'll see him in the area and they look smaller, but if he's not there they are fully out instead of tentacles enclosed, a couple softball sized rocks really covered. Going to use ap X on the couple loners I see. I know where I got them and what I need to do for now on.

Ah, I am planning to add one and seems like most posts I've read said they seem to take about 2 months and then all of a sudden the aiptasia starts disappearing.. Maybe there's still hope for him to get work.

The problem with aiptasia is once it's in it's virtually impossible to completely get rid of it. My cousin has it in his tank and went down the exact road you are. The only thing he had success with were berghia nudibranchs. He bought a half dozen and after about a month and a half the aiptasia was gone. At this point I'd say the berghia keep it at bay.

Joes Juice is another option, I used this and it worked out nicely. On a side note I was just starting out in the hobby and I had aptasia the size of a tennis ball, I thought it was a rock anenome till a friend asked if I was raising Aptasia on purpose, lol
