Wondering how much everyone is feeding their fish and coral . I find myself cleaning my Red Sea reefer 250 (60) gallon glass every 2 days.

I feed 3-4 times a day a mix of sea weed 3 times a day for my tangs and reef frenzy once a day .

would like to keep my glass clean but probably need to feed less

I fed my tangs once per day and only enough for them to eat it all within a few minutes. They were fat, happy and healthy. For reference, I fed the tank two frozen mysis cubes and refilled the seaweed clip each day. I never fed my corals.

Interesting how many tangs in the tank ?

My tangs which are many of them get 4 feedings from auto feeder and One manual feeding in the evening of frozen food mix. I feed what they can consume in 2-3 minutes. Its easier to add food than to remove it.
Keep an eye on the phos/nitrate level to assure overfeeding is not in play

Established and stable tanks can handle a lot more food than a new tank that is still settling in.

I feed a lot, but I also export a lot, and my glass gets cleaned once every couple of weeks normally.

How old is your tank?

The tank is 2 years old so even tho I feed on the higher side it’s running smooth aside from some build up on the glass and actually have had to dose nitrate and phosphate so it doesn’t bottom out lol .

Maybe you need to restock some snails? Assuming food is being eaten quickly and you aren’t over feeding.

My astrea and cerith snails all over the glass which is a helper

Cleaning every other day isn't bad as long as it's not completely caked lol
I always say doing this is a pain in the rear but when I do clean the glass, its all 45-55 seconds. Agree- isnt bad.
