I’m thinking of putting zoa’s on the top of one of my arch’s but the par is higher there.
how much par can a zoanthid handle
Also I have some palys and they’ve barely grown in the past year, could they need more light or flow ?
this is an old photo before I’d added any corals, I’m thinking of placing the zoa’s where the arrow points across the top of the rock arch

Zoas are pretty adaptive in all actuality. It may require a little light acclimation but ive got some in my tank sitting at over 300 par and they are doing just fine. Its just about light acclimating them. Remember there are several Zoa species that reside in tide pools that get absolutely blasted by the sun. After some light acclimation to not shock them, they will be just fine.
