I’m curious to gather subjective experiences dosing phyto. If you dose live phyto into your display:
  1. How much do you dose?
  2. How often do you dose?
  3. Why do you dose?
Thanks R2R community!

I did many years ago as well as cultivated my own with a sweet setup. Didn't see any benefits in aquarium really. Filter feeders , polyps, etc eat as they do with feeding time. Stopped when I contaminated my culture with pods. Was trying to feed baby clowns.

Anyway. Downside I saw was that you can fowl water by dosing too much.

Tank looked same with or without. Never seen an aquarium that looked better because of it.thats my experience

Following! I started dosing 200mL per day into my 200 gallon system a few weeks ago (live nanno cultured in a Poseidon system). I have a mandarin arriving soon so wanted to get my pod population higher than it already is. So far no impact on my nitrate and phosphate. Corals and feather dusters are looking fantastic!

Thanks for sharing!

We just started growing our own phyto using the Poseidon system. Nanno and tet for how. Also planning on adding 200ml a day to a 225g system
