Seems like kind of silly question but the situation I have is one I have never been in. So I cycled my new 24g cube and after the cycle added pods and fed with Phyto. Fast forward 2 or so months and my tank is now culturing Phyto. The problem is I want to put fish and coral in the tank, will all the Phyto cause issues to either of them?

So other then pods you had no inhabitants in the tank? How much phyto were you dosing? Have you checked your nitrates?

I probably dosed a tablespoon like 3 times in a week? No more was added after the bottle was gone.

Culturing phyto is a fancy term for green water. You need a UV or do some serious husbandry.
It isn't a hard problem to fix, Keep the lights off for a week and it isn't there. I guess the main thing is, should i let it all die out before stocking or is it not gonna bother anything?

So 5ml 3x per week of regular phyto or the enhanced stuff like phyto feast? Is your water discolored?

Will it cause a mini cycle dying out? Not that it matters but it would kill off his pod population.

To be honest, I am moving in a few months and was debating dosing my other tanks out of it lol.

More or less the solution would be treat it like normal algae?
