i have had an issue in my tank and wondering what to do now with my aquascape. wondering how much rock is recommended as i may have too much. more room for growth and for fish to swim. is there a recommendation for lbs per gallons?
i have a 150g red sea max tank. mixed reef with a leaning towards sps.
thank you in advance!!!

I think just design the rockwork as you prefer it, the reef can adapt around your ideas, your the one who’s going to enjoy and maintain it.

I like plenty of rock for coral placement to grow a large reef, it’s very much a personal preference

If you want a tank without dead spots then you should put in enough rock so that your circulation can keep the tank aerobic. There is no hard and fast number for this, in fact even ballparking it is pointless it is based on your ability to stack the rock so that powerheads etc ... can get oxygenated water everywhere. This isn't prefection and IMO a few dead spots are helpful.
