How much room for Cyphastrea?

I’ve heard that cyphastrea can be pretty aggressive growers and some websites list it as semi aggressive. Will it eventually grow over or kill my monti cap if I put it on the same ledge? How much room should I give it?

Also, I picked up this frag for ten bucks and I think it’s meteor shower but the colors are a little dull. Any tips on getting this guy to color up now that he’s in my tank?

yeah I’ve seen that stuff go “GSP” almost. I place mine on a dead piece of branch, sorta let it take on that shape and isolate it at the same time
