I use Reef Crystals mix to make my water. I use R/O from my lfs. When this was a fish only tank I just followed the directions and did 1/2 cup of mix per gallon which gave me a salinity of 1.021/1.022 at 77F. Does anyone know how much more mix I should add per gallon to bring me up to a salinity of 1.025/1.026 at 77F. I’m just converting this tank over to reef. It’s a 36gallon bow front and I’m just keeping frags of very easy stuff. Currently a blastomussa, Duncan, orange colored acan, an older frag of somepallys and a small bunch of pulsing Xenia.
Ideas?

You need a refractometer to know what your salinity is

Yes buy a refractometer and the calibration fluid.

Well I do test/check my salinity, I was just wondering if anyone had ever measured.

When I used rc I used a heaping half cup and it got me pretty close if that makes sense
