How much Seachem Matrix can i use?

I have nitrate issues and i have some Matrix and Denitrate. My tank is a 60 and 24 sump, so probably really 50-60 gallons. Can i run more Matrix than it says on the bottle? I have like half a cup in the sump in a high flow area. Can i do more?

I don't think using more would be a problem, but I think you need to better understand the root of the problem as well.
