I am considering selling my 135 Oceanic tank, but I don't know what a fair price would be.
I'll be selling the drilled tank with corner overflow, hood, stand, Sea Clear wertdry sump, Mak4 pump, Ocean Clear canister filter, IceCap 660 ballast with 2 T12 VHO bulbs.
Everything works and it holds water.
The tank itself is a monster, the glass is 1/2 inch thick. Its 72L x 18W x 24H.

I'm thinking of listing it for $600, but I really dont know if that's a fair price. Does this fall into the "used tank black hole" or because it was a top of the line tank when it was made, does it retain some value?

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. And I'm not in much of a hurry to sell. I've had it for 20 or so years, so what's a few more months.

I’m always a bit surprised about how much people seem willing to spend on used gear .... much more than I’d be willing to pay lol. 20 year old tank is probably close to worthless, unless you can find somebody that specifically wants an old oceanic. Rest of the stuff seems of similar vantage. Probably you’d be fortunate to get $200.

Thank you @ca1ore. I thought that may be the case, wasnt sure though. I appreciate your input.

hi ,keep it full, sell it with no leaks ,looks great condition, ask 6 take 5 ;) good luck, where are you located?

Thank you @fishguy242, sound advice. I plan on filling it again when I post to sell. It's still alittle dirty and I plan on painting the hood and stand black so they match. I'm close to Cincinnati.
