Going to dose and for example if the instructions say dose 20 ml per 100 gallons, do you take into account how much rock you have? If you have a 100 gal tank, do you dose for a 75 gal? Thanks

Yes, usually dosing instructions are per acutal water volume. So you do have to subtract your live rock/sand etc.

This is why we all took algebra, right? Lol:D

If 20ml is for 100gal

You have 75gal.... your value is 0.75 (75 dividend by 100)

0.75 x 20ml = 15ml to be used

They were asking if you dose according to the volume of the tank or the actual volume that is water. If you have a 100 gallon tank but only 75 gallons of water because 25% of the volume is taken up by rock and sand then do you dose for 100 or 75 (75 is the right answer btw)
