I recently added 3 herbivores to my tank 3 weeks ago.
  • foxface
  • naso tang
  • yellow tang
all of them are below 2 inches. I've been adding a full sheet of seaweed folded & clipped to the side of my tank daily every morning.
I have been noticing that they have devoured all of it by 11am every day.
This is on top of the twice daily feeding of PE Pellet food (auto-feeder) and mysis shrimp every 2-3 days.

I'm mostly wondering if the daily seaweed sheet is not enough?
They are ferocious eaters!

Am I feeding too much, too little? Appreciate the feedback!
100 gallon tank
36 inch trigger systems sump.
weekly water changes

My foxface would mow through a quarter sheet in an hour or less. When I added the tang it became a half sheet in the same time. I went by looks and poop. Healthy "plump" fish and healthy poo, feeding enough. They get bound up from too little plant matter from what I read.

Watch your nitrates, if they start to rise, then cut back some.

Seaweed/nori is very good as is Formula 2 frozen, spirulina brine shrimp, spirulina frozen food and LRS herbivore buffet

One sheet lasts about 10 minutes in my tank. I used to feed a sheet a day but l start to have phosphate issues so I am cutting back to two sheets per week to see if it helps bring down phosphate. Not sure about the cause yet but I am starting with the algae sheet.
