I have
4 inch hippo
4 inch yellow tang
2 clowns
And 5 other random small fish

How much and how often should I feed?

A standard rule of thumb is a couple times a day, what the fish will eat in 2-3 minutes.
If there is food left after 2-3 minutes, you are feeding to much

That's a lot of hungry fish. You will have to feed a good amount.

Right now I am doing pellets in the am
1 frozen cube when I get off work
1 frozen cube and sea weed before lights ou

A well fed fish should plump, active, alert, brightly colored with good fins. A good diet will help with that.

For tangs, I really think one should feed nori, the flat sheets of sea weed. Tangs are vegetarians. I cut the sheet into strips, stack the strips and cut them into little rectangles. I stack the rectangles and clip it. That way a tang has to work and cannot rip off a huge piece to go down the over flow.

Pellets are good because they are made up of various foods.

I also feed frozen enriched brine and mysis.

You want the fish to eat most of the food but some needs to go to your clean up crew.

The best thing for seaweed or nori sheets is to put it on a clip in the am, so that fish can graze upon it throughout the day (3/4 of your lighting period is a good place to start). I put 2 full sheets in my DT per day, I have lots of tangs, Moorish idol, a few angels, and then a few wrasse that eat it as well.

Agreed. My Reef Frenzy package says 1-2 minutes, but I think that's a little too conservative. 2 small feedings twice a day is ideal for most fish though.

I have 9 fish. I do 1 cube per day or every other day and seaweed for my 2 tangs. Every other day or everyday normally.

I feed up to 6 cubes a day in the 300, I have 6 tangs in there and various small fish. Lots and lots of nori for the tangs to keep them full.

I have a yelow tang around 3' and he don't want to eat any pelets or flakes. I get him two weeks before. he eat only some algae from ocean nutrition and frozen artemia....any sugestion? thanks
