How noisy should an Eheim compact 1000 be?

I've just bought a Fluval Evo 13.5. One of the first things I did was put an Eheim compact 1000 into it to increase flow. It seems really noisy. Will it quieten down overtime or did I get a dud pump? I've made sure it's not touching the sides of the sump and the suction are properly secures. There's a short video showing the noise.

I have the compact+ 2000 and it's super quiet... but that's a different design.
My advice is to make sure there's silicone padding everywhere the pump is touching your tank (tubing etc), to reduce vibration transfer.
