So, I noticed the worms were getting a little too large for my liking, time to get them out. Borrowed trap from a fellow reefer, put it in place, baited up. Turned my back for ten seconds !!!!!!

Usually worms are directly related to left over detritus. Vacuum more and control feedings

Yes your quite right but I'm not able to hover my sand 30 inch deep tank, so I just put up with it

I've had poor results with a bottle and straw trap, but good results on small worms with the green trap'em. Problem is, I don't care about the small worms, it's the large ones I'm after. I'll try a few more hand-made traps this weekend - but does that swing-arm trap actually work for worms? (clearly it works great on shrimp).

Apparently it worked on my pals tank, I'm going to try the plastic bottle trap next

I used bottle trap once and same thing happens to me except my shrimp end up dead in bottle when I woke up from the food being to toxic was sad

Use a one litre bottle and make your own. Once in, theyre too dumb to find their way out as they stay on the floor of bottle.

Yea that’s how I killed my shrimp :( works great just make sure to check it very often if you have shrimp

I'm trying to catch peppermint shrimp now but after I caught the first 1, the 2 remaining seem to have outsmarted me.

Haha! I love how the one on the outside looks like he's straining to get at the bait in the trap.
Yeah realy funny, looked like he was trying to help his mate escape - was just after the bait lol
