How often can I add to my reef tank.

I'm new to the hobby. I have a 55 gallon reef tank. My tank recently finished cycling, for which I added two black darwin clownfish and a hammer coral. How often can I safely add new reef inhabitants, such as other fish, inverts, and other corals?

In my opinion add fish slower so your bacteria can adjust as needed. Corals add as you wish. The more corals the more you'll need to watch ca alk and mag for stability with dosing possibly. Just my opinion.

For a tank that size that is cycled and assuming you have plenty of rock in there for bacterial colonization, you can fully stock it with fish as soon as you want. The thing you should be most concerned with is properly quarantining your fish before adding them to your DT. (Please forgive me if you already did so with your original fish.) Thank you! Would it be wise if I wait a week and test my water for ca, alk, and mg afterwards to see the current levels before I add more corals?

Test for what? U have one coral.

Dont worry, there will be enough time for testing, add some more corals, fish, keep an eye for proper flow, lighting, filtration.... Enjoy in your tank and dont worry about things that u dont need to worry...

Before purchasing fish do some research on each one to make sure they are the right temperament and (ultimate size) for your tank/corals. Determine a number as well, one fish per ten gallons. Also doing routine water changes is a great practice. For your 55g, once a month, 15 gallons. This will replenish your cal,alk, mag and trace elements. You may not need to test for a year as your new and few corals won’t take in much of these elements that your salt provides.
