How often changing reactors ?

Just had a question on how often you should change the reactor media ?
Row phos ?
Carbon ?
Nitrite rocks ?

You change GFO (like ROWAPHOS) when it is depleted. There are many ways to gauge that, either by testing or observing things like rapidity of algae growth on the glass.

I'd replace carbon after 2-6 weeks.

I'm not sure what a nitrite rock is. If you mean denitrifying media, it might never need to be replaced.

When I write carbon above I mean granular activated carbon (GAC). The black pellets that take up organic matter.
