My glass needs cleaned 2 times a week and I clean it 1-2 times a week.

Plastic in my case. Weekly for a quick buff; monthly to get at the crusty stuff. I designed the lighting approach on my current tank to eliminate light spill onto the front panel. Helps enormously.
Thats about my limit to. I just came back from a 7 day holiday but it was just over 8 days and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I just wish the snails would actually clean the glass not just leave tracks all over it.Every 3 days roughly. Day 4 its noticeable and annoys me.
I have my light on a converted TV Wall Mount arm and I can angle it slightly backwards away.Basically I have the lights hung further back over the tank so that the illumination 'cone' stops before the front panel. Means I cannot stuff coral right up to the front (which dislike aesthetically anyhow). Seems silly to spend $$ on lights that shine on the front, spill into the room and necesitate all that elbow grease.
