How often do y'all do water changes?

Been doing 30gal every other week to a month. Considering doing 15gal per week starting in the near future.

I am the extreme when it comes to changing water...I also think that this is one of the most asked questons in the hobby.
My answer: depends on the bioload. Let the tank and some common sense determine how much should be changed.
If your costantly moving things around, stiirring up the sand adding new livestock cosistantly Feeding Heavly then of course more water should be changed shy of a low bioload of livestock. Also another factor, your numbers. Cal. mag. alk. most of these can be maintained with consistant water changes and the use of good salt.Yes there r exceptions.
I am sure some will diisagree. which is all good...We Agree to disagree. This s just my personal opinion and no where near fact.
Oh yea i change anywhere fro 30-50 gallons a week out of my 210. This is the result.

I usually do 3-4 gallons a week on my 24 gallon.

can you change to much to often? I have 65 gal, and was changing 15 to 20 gal a week. My zoa's starting to dry up and die so got to try something different.

My softies love a dirty tank, when I was an habitual water changer always wondered why my z's were always closed, until I got lazy.

Once a month unless I have high N3 then weekly until it's at acceptable levels

i use NSW from Scripps Institution of Oceanography Pier. It is filtered by 3 sand tanks that i believe, removes down to 1 micron. It is also used by Birch Aquarium. the cool thing it is 100% free as much as you can take straight from the filter. I change around 20% to 40% of my water per month doing 5 to 10% a week.
