Alright guys... I was thinking today as I was observing my tank that "This tank looks great!". Yes, I have a bit of a bubble algae problem and I have seen a few Aiptasia in there recently. I can deal with that. All the fish are healthy and happy, the corals are growing at an amazing rate.

I read a post a few minutes ago from our esteemed leader @revhtree that showed off his beautiful tank with little to no husbandry. I know I fall into the category of "I test when I think about it"

So I am wondering... Where do you fall? More than just a simple response to the poll, please explain WHY you test the way you do.

For myself, it is part laziness, part experience, and another part laziness.. lol

Still manual testing...
Alk and Ca - 2-3 times/week
Mg - weekly
Nitrate and Phosphate - monthly

every sunday at approximately 6pm. if corals are showing signs of something being out of line, i’ll test on a wednesday at 6pm.

There are exceptions if something looks right but below is pretty much normal for me once the tank is established and stable.

Alk: weekly
Calc: monthly
Magnesium: monthly
Nitrate: monthly
Phosphate: monthly
Nitrite: never
Ammonia: never
Ph: meter
