I installed an Apex DOS 13 months ago to dose Ca and Alk. It never occurred to me until earlier this week that maybe I should check the calibration. So I went through the calibrated routine and the DOS pumped 38 ml on one side and 36 ml on the other. Doesn't seem like a big variance but those are 5% and 10% variances. So I I added to my husbandry checklist to recalibrate the DOS every 6 months. How often do you recalibrate your DOS?

I do mine annually on my AWC and should probably every 6 months bro g it’s so crucial to salinity but find it is not off much when I do.

I do mine every few gallons of 2 part, or just about every 6 months. I replace the heads annually, and find they are never that far out of calibration at the 6 month mark.

Every 3 months but they rarely need adjusting

I use mine to dose 2 part and it’s been running for a few years and I’ve never bothered to recalibrate it. The amount of solution left in my dosing containers mostly matches how much it shows I have left, so I’ve never seen a reason to recalibrate them.

If I was using it for an AWC I would calibrate it though, but I don’t care if it’s a little bit off for 2 part dosing as long as it’s still keeping my parameters where I want them.

Almost once in the 4 years I’ve had them.

Almost so you still haven’t?
You’d have to be old, like me, and a Monty Python fan to get the reference. I think the sketch was camel spotting and actually ‘nearly one’ but, yes, almost once = never.
