How often do you change your filterfloss?

How often do you change your filterfloss? I have a 25g peninsula and used to change it every 3 days and would never have any flow issues. I use a generic aquarium floss from Amazon. I recently started to try out carbon dosing with NoPox and noticed I have to chance it daily now or else my water level gets messed up. What's it like for you? Do you have a favorite floss?

Not really, filter floss is disposable so I just toss the strip I have against the sump, I have about 4 filter socks so every four days I'll wash them. Pretty easy routine to incorporate with feeding (and in my case manual dosing)

Nice! Does that ever mess up your water level/salinity?

No, not at all. When I remove it the ATO will replace the water right away, but it’s not enough to affect salinity.

I like Colgate Mint flavored floss. It’s the only kind I use.

I stuff poly-fil from the craft stores in-between the 1st set of baffles 8n my sump. I change it roughly weekly.

For me it is usually when I do a water change, so every 6 months or so.

You will need to put some kind of grate between the baffles about mid way down.
