How often do you clean your skimmer pumps?

How often do you guys clean out your skimmer pumps? And what do you do when you clean them out?

I clean mine about every eight weeks. I pull the pump out and use a tooth brush to clean out any algae buildup. If I find any calcium or coraline buildup, I will soak the pump in vinegar.
