How often do you clean your sump

Just wondering how often do you clean your sump. I just cleaned mine after a year. Really shoulda cleaned it sooner. So much detritus yuck.

A quick baste daily (to feed pods to the display) and a thorough blasting weekly before the wc.

Never.. I have a Koralia3 in each chamber in my sump so it looks brand new/nothing settles in it.

Man I better clean mine lol!! Been a while my sump is under my tank so it's a real pita gotta get the wet dry to get it all out!

Never.. I have a Koralia3 in each chamber in my sump so it looks brand new/nothing settles in it.

I do same in my overflow boxes. I don't in sump because of lights in sump make algae grow anyway so gotta clean that out. So saves me few powerheads.

I do mine every month along with all my pre-filters on pumps.(return and skimmer)

I have a fuge that i have not cleaned the bottom out of it in years. I have moved the tank 2 times and now it is time. BOY is it time.

What kind of wet dry vac can handle the SUM gunk and not end up smelling to high heaven? I would think this would clear your house out and rust out the wet-dry vac.

Just cleaned mine Sunday, was a year since I did it last. Placing a MJ12 in the sump to keep the detritus suspended and hopefully keep it cleaner without cleaning it.
