How often do you run uv sterilizer

How often do you run uv sterilizer ? An what flow rate do you aim for? I just got a coralife 9watt uv for 30 bucks from my local petco. I guess they got sick of having it on the shelf lol I know it isn’t high high end but for 30 dollars how could I pass it up ?!?

24/7. You better have a TINY tank for that to have an affect.

24/7 here and sourced a huge one! Literally no point in having one unless the flow is perfect and the wattage high enough.

24/7. Use overkill size for my tank and keep flow controlled so nothing gets by. Has kept the bad guys at bay.
