How often should i feed Favia and Acan? I got one of each last night, got them in the tank and they both opened up like they were hungry. I didnt feed cause i did not want to stress them to much since they just got added.

Thanks!

Everyone will have a different opinion on this. We always give the corals time to acclimate before attempting to feed it. We spot feed ours about once a week. We also turn all our pumps off a few times a week and put food in the water column and they feed that way as well.

I try to spot feed at least once a week and notice a huge increase in growth the more I feed. If I have the time I will feed every other night but that doesn't happen often

Feed as much as you like/ as much as your Tank can handle. Once water quality starts to degrade, you have gone too far.

I thought that if you overfed corals the food they can't use would rot inside them because they have no way to get rid of it. I'm new af so maybe I'm wrong or maybe that was talking about a specific coral?

I'm not aware of any coral that will let food rot inside themselves. They will spit out any undigested food along with any waste. All of my LPS routinely barf brown stringy crap every few days or so. I've also had anenomes that would do the same.

Good to know, wonder where I got that from.
