How often should you run a UV sterilizer for?

So I'm not really sure how long I should leave it on for but I'm getting mixed info on the web. Just wondering what you guys think and how it benefits you. I have a biocube29 light on corals and about six small fish.

Biocube 29. Ai prime @ 60% blue mostly. Intank filter basket. Cobalt 1200 return. Tunze skimmer and nano power head. Biocube return uv sterilizer. Just wondering the pro's and con's of having one and most successful running times/ durations.

Six fish. Mandren fish, fire fish, two black clown fish, Royal grama, and a blue fish that I forgot the name lol. And about 7-8 small corals around the tank. Some soft. A few lps and on sps.

Iv run mine none stop ,iv no parasites ...that I know of and my water is crystal clear ,even my lfs made comments on it so it must be doing something for me lol
