So I have a 10 gallon with a clownfish, a nassarius and trochus snail. I’m doing weekly 10% water changes, and was wondering if I should be cleaning the sand weekly as well?

I would siphon at each water change. Or use a baster and blow the sand around a bit once a week and let the ditritus flow into your filter socks/floss and remove that way.

If you do decide to syphon your sand. I would only do 1/4 of the tank max a month. So basically pick a side and do it preferably the side with the most bilt up poop.

following...I used own a 90 gallon and with a deep sand bed. I would never siphon it but maybe i should have been doing it from the start. When i did siphon the sand it was very black.

Id like to maintain the sand better on my new tank so im basically going to siphon a little everytime i do water changes, but id like to see what the rest of you are doing.
