My kids say that in my time, dinosaurs delivered Amazon packages.
In my time, Amazon was a place on a map. Vacuum salesmen showed up on your doorstep not boxes. Been into reefing for about 7 years, FW tanks for many years before that. My car is 20 years old, older than some of the folks on this forum lol. Im 57 years young and getting younger everyday. Getting ready to install a 130 and 260 gallon tank in my new retirement home. Age is just a number, keep busy and learn something new everyday.

Hello,

So I looked at the age bracket and I feel like a teenager because I’m only 25. I started when I was high school, (which I graduated when I was 15). Which means i was 13 when I started with my biology teachers experiment as a tank. My very first tank came as a gift when I turned 18 and was from my parents.

At this point I fell in love with it as I studied and graduated with marine biology and micro biology. It was my peaceful moment in college for me. It was so good that once I graduated with my undergrad I took it to medical school with me :). Oh the long nights of my books and I and table with tons of home work and my little ocean and fishes. They helped me study for exams and quizzes. They held up flash cards for me :).

Once I bought my house I upgraded to my 240 which I have now and I graduated from medical school just this spring. In which my love is even deeper for this hobby and once again as a gift my parents gave me a 425 which is being built but won’t be completed until November roughly.

So compared to most of the others I say I look up to my seniors and always trust their advice.

I'm 51 and has been a year since I start my first saltwater tank adventure but 40 years ago I was breeding and selling guppies and mollies in Cuba and on this country when from Goldfish to Discus and now saltwater.

this question comes from a thread started by bamabuff called "so is 60 too old to get back in reefing".the conclusion was it's not.adele replied and said she wanted to know just how old our members actually are.that's a great question that got me wondering the same thing.i'm not sure what the average age will be but it may surprise us all.i turned 54 this past Friday.
