I have a 3 gallon pico and am looking for more active inverts to stock. I heard that pom pom crabs rarely come out during the day. Is that true?

No, I had a couple, always waving their pompoms. They like to hang out towards bottom of rocks.
 
My wife has one in her 5gal pico that we see daily.
