How quickly can I drop nitrate?

Found out that rather than being low, as measured by my Nyos test kit, my nitrate is extremely high (greater than 100 as measured by my LFS). It’s an 80 cube with a 15 gal sump. We changed 25 gallons yesterday and another 20 today, which brought it down to about maybe 80ish...hard to tell exactly with the salifert test kit I bought. Looking for some guidance regarding how fast to go from here. Also, yesterday added half a container of purfiltrum in my filter sock.

Dropping nitrate isn't really an issue as is rapidly raising nitrate. I wouldn't worry.

I don’t think there is a way to drop it fast, except by water change, and there is no rush to bring it down with lots of changes.
