I had a baby one that died in QT. Im contemplating getting a bigger one, but after doing some more research, it might now be a good idea in a reef. Just wondering what other's opinions are?

they are as reef safe as they choose to be take the risk and deal with the consequences lol :) good luck

Like most large angels, they are only SPS reef safe. And even that sometimes doesn't hold true.

I had one in a mixed reef that did great. Kept him fed and he had a lot of sponge to munch on. Then again I've heard people say that they cleared a tank of softies and LPS. Depends what your pain level is in trying one. They say that a 3"-4" is the best size to get. Mine was 4" when I got him and @6" when I sold him due to having to tear down my tank. Good Luck!!

Mine never touched anything. I have her for about a year. To me she's worth the risk.
