How resilient are Lepto's

I have a jack-o-latern that fell off the rock onto one of my sps corals. Looks like it killed half the Lepto but the other half looks ok. Anyone know if it will grow back over the dead skeleton or will the whole thing die off totally?

im sure it wil grow back over the dead area. it happened to mine a while back.

You'd be hard pressed to kill the thing. I managed to do it, but it was only after it got engulfed by algae for two months!
