I'm about to make another post as all my corals are very unhappy and I cant seem to find the reason.I would not be afraid but would be more bothered that the hammer doesn't seem to have much flesh on the edges.
It doesn't look like any tube worm I've ever seen either.Everyone sure that’s a harmless worm? Doesn’t look like a duster but rather tentacles/feelers. Just don’t want to mislead the OP
+1 that hammer is in bad shape.![]()
It looks like it could be a featherduster... I see some feathery appendages?

i think you might be referring to a vermetid ?It’s a type of worm I can’t recall the name. They will harm soft flesh. I glued the hole shut which solves the issue.
Not a vermetid. It had the head of a Eunice in some ways. Two main feelers with smaller ones around it. Would pop out at feeding time trying to grab food. Lived in a calcerous tube among a blasto colony. Killed two of the heads either through eating or irritation. The tube was super tough to break. Ended up just gluing it shut.i think you might be referring to a vermetid ?
Upon further review, that appears to be it.Spirobranchus cariniferus is a tube worm/feather duster that looks pretty similar to OP's worm:
